The Future Proof Philosophy
Shane developed his knowledge and much of his expertise in Saskatchewan, Canada; a place with one of the world’s harshest climates. The temperatures in Saskatchewan range from -40°C (-40°F) to 35°C (95°F), making the province one of the most energy dependent in the world. Similarly, temperatures in the Yukon get even colder, into the -50°C’s at times and can occasionally reach 30°C’s in the summer.
You might be surprised to learn that we can cost-effectively build “green” even in such a harsh climate. If it can be done in such a climate of extremes, it can be done anywhere!

Commissioning
My expertise was mainly developed in the commercial construction industry, I have put great effort to make this knowledge simple and available to the average person.

Professional Accreditation
I’m a professional engineer who is accredited in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a Certified Energy Auditor and Thermographer. I have been trained by the Canadian Passive House Institute and work in the fields of commissioning and recommissioning to ensure the quality of Green Buildings and industrial projects

FutureProof design does more than just save energy, it creates luxurious comfort and healthy interior spaces. Heat exchanger’s exhaust the old stale air and bring in fresh air on a continual basis. This ensures that airborne particulates are evacuated out of the building space protecting the health of our interior spaces.
